Indonesia’s First Cloudmatika Disaster Recovery as a Service

In many organizations, disaster recovery solutions  center is an in-house facility designed to take over the functions of a unit when a serious disruption affects one or more critical business units within a company, such as data storage and processing centers.

Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are not new in the IT world; in fact, Bank Indonesia has required all banks to have a DRC. For example, when a disaster struck several major global companies headquartered in the World Trade Center, they were able to resume operations quickly because they had prepared multiple DRCs to anticipate unforeseen disasters.

In general, a DRC serves to:

  • Minimize financial and non-financial losses when facing natural disasters that affect both physical infrastructure and critical company data.
  • Enhance a sense of security in business relationships among personnel, suppliers, investors, and customers.

Cloudmatika DRC is a Non-Capex service, meaning the allocation for establishing a DRC does not need to be included in your budget for purchasing, repairing, or replacing anything categorized as a company asset under accounting standards.

Our DRC is located at the GTN Data Center TIER III Indonesia in Cikarang, Bekasi, which is 40 km from Jakarta. Our DRC location is not situated on a geological fault line, has a low disaster risk index in Indonesia, and features adequate and easily accessible network connectivity.

Cold, Warm, & Hot Disaster Recovery at Indonesian Data Centers

Given the critical importance of business continuity within an organization, we offer three DRC options tailored to your business’s budget allocation:

  • Cold DRC

This Cold DRC provides the same system as the primary data center, where applications and data must be uploaded before the DRC facility can be used; however, the migration process from the data center to the DRC location is performed manually.

  • Warm DRC

Warm DRC provides computers with all components, applications, communication links, and the most up-to-date data backups. The system does not switch over automatically; manual processes are still required, though minimized as much as possible.

  • Hot DRC

Hot DRC ensures business operations resume as quickly as possible. The system, including applications and communication links, is already installed and available at the DRC location. Data is continuously backed up via a direct connection between the data center and the DRC site, and business operations resume immediately without needing to shut down the system at the old data center.

DRC infrastructure includes data center facilities, a wide area network (WAN) or telecommunications, a local area network (LAN), hardware, and applications. For each of these components, we must determine the most appropriate Disaster Recovery strategy to provide an effective solution that meets the company’s needs.

Currently, we are the only Cloud Provider in Indonesia offering a user-friendly Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) at highly competitive prices.
