How to Recover Data from Cloud Backup

Recovery is the process of restoring files/data from one location to another location or back to its original place. A recovery process requires files/data that have already been backed up beforehand. If you have not backed up your files/data, then your files/data cannot be recovered. To activate the Backup feature on Cloud Backup from Cloudmatika, please see here. 

After we know how to use the Backup feature on Cloud Backup from Cloudmatika, let’s look at how to recover files/data that have been backed up on Cloudmatika Cloud Backup. Here are the steps: 

  • Open the Cloud Backup website at: https://backup.cloudmatika.com/login 
  • Then Login using the username & password that have been created on the Backup User After logging in, click the name of the Machine whose files/data you want to Recover, then click Recovery. As shown in the following image: 
  • After that, make sure the data/files you want to recover are correct, then click RECOVER XXXXXXX (X = Name of Machine/Files/Folders/System) 
  • Here I am giving an example of recovering files/folders: 
  • Then you will be asked to enter the password that you have created for your Backup 
  • Enter your password, then specify the location of the files/data you want to Recover 
  • Here you can select multiple files/folders or you can choose everything within one Machine/Disk/Folder, as in the following example: 
  • Click Recover, then choose the storage location in the PATH option for the files/data you are going to recover. 
  • Choose Original location = To use the location corresponding to the location you backed up previously Choose Custom location = To use the storage location according to your preference
  • Click START RECOVERY, then click PROCEED 
  • Wait until the Recovery process is complete, and you will see the results at the storage location or PATH that you have specified
