Once connected, users can transfer files, print documents, run applications, and perform other tasks on the remote computer as if sitting right in front of it.<\/p><p>RDP provides many features and benefits to its users, making it an essential tool for accessing resources remotely.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p><h2><strong>How to Change RDP Port in Windows<\/strong><\/h2><p>Specification:<\/p><ul><li>Windows<\/li><li>Initial (default) Port: 3389<\/li><li>New Port: 4088<\/li><li>Administrator Account<\/li><\/ul><p>Before you change the Port on your Remote Desktop, ensure you have access to the Remote Desktop as an administrator. Here are the steps to change the Port on the Remote Desktop:<\/p><p>1. Log into your <strong>Remote Desktop<\/strong> using your <strong>Administrator account.<\/strong><br \/>2.\u00a0After logging in, please click <strong>Start<\/strong> on the bottom left.<br \/>3. In the <strong>Search Box<\/strong> column, please type <strong>regedit<\/strong><br \/>4.\u00a0Then the Windows default application will appear, namely <strong>regedit.exe<\/strong> (Registry Editor)<br \/>5.\u00a0Click <strong>regedit<\/strong>, or you can press <strong>Enter<\/strong> on your keyboard<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/userfiles\/images\/image%20%281%29.png\" \/><\/p><p>6.\u00a0The Registry Editor will appear, and please <strong>double-click<\/strong> on the following sections:<\/p><p><strong>&gt; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE<br \/>&gt;\u00a0SYSTEM<br \/>&gt;\u00a0CurrentControlSet<br \/>&gt;\u00a0Control<br \/>&gt;\u00a0Terminal Server<br \/>&gt;\u00a0WinStations<br \/>&gt;\u00a0RDP-Tcp<\/strong><\/p><p>7. Look at the right column, then scroll down and look for <strong>PortNumber<\/strong>. Click <strong>OK,<\/strong> then close the <strong>Registry Editor<\/strong><br \/>12.\u00a0Then, proceed to open the <strong>Port <\/strong>from the\u00a0<strong>firewall<\/strong> so that it can be accessed<br \/>13.\u00a0Click<strong> Start &gt; Control Panel<\/strong><br \/>14.\u00a0After entering the <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>, go to <strong>System and Security &gt; Windows Firewall<\/strong><br \/>15.
